This year sees the long awaited cinema release of Transformers. I've always been a big fan as a young kid growing up. I loved the cartoons, comics and toys! I used to draw many of the robots, mainly the Autobots (good guys). I drew them so many times that I could draw them from memory! I think they were my first ever pen drawings without pencil! I suggested to my younger bro Ken that we both do this project where we both draw a cartoon character from our childhood. Rules would be no ref pics to copy from and not even a ref pic to help inspire us! It would be down to our own memory, like how we used to draw these characters. Ken choose to draw a Ninja Turtle.

I chose to draw the leader of the Autobots Optimus Prime, my fav transformer. I have to admit it felt weird with no ref pic to draw from. But I had alot of fun and I gave it my best effort. Considering I used no ref pic I'm happy how it turned out. It was a nice change from all the celeb portraits and very challenging!
